3months are one of New Zealand's leading web development companies. We are winning great projects and growing. We are looking to take on an experienced web project manager to become part of our Wellington based team. We develop web based solutions using a variety of technologies and products (currently mainly Ruby on Rails, PHP, .NET, Plone, DotNetNuke etc) for private and public sector organisations.

This role will need to ensure all aspects of the project are covered:

  • Manage projects throughout the project lifecycle including planning, design, development, deployment, and closure;
  • Determine project milestones and actively measure project progress against milestones to ensure timely and successful completion;
  • Work with stakeholders to determine and prioritise business objectives, critical success factors, and project risks;
  • Lead and motivate team to ensure everybody is working effectively towards a shared vision and the customer is getting high value for money;
  • Scope and manage the project (budget, schedule, scope, resources);
  • Carefully control changes to the project scope;
  • Monitor all project processes and operations for time and resource efficiencies, cost management, and process improvement opportunities;
  • Take corrective action to stay within time and expense limits;
  • Ensure that project communication, both internally and to clients, is strong throughout the duration of the project;
  • Proactively identify issues and risks. Assess risks and issues, prepare mitigation plans, and present options to project stakeholders;
  • Ensure that project is delivered on time, on budget, and with a result that meets or exceeds client expectations;
  • Create space for innovation and creativity;

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Web Project Manager;
  • Knowledge of and experience with software development methodologies and project management best practices (Agile and non-Agile);
  • Working knowledge of HTML and one or more back-end web technologies (e.g. .NET, PHP, a CMS etc).
